BrightView Health is Hiring an Area Phlebotomist Near Columbus, OH
Position Summary:
The Area Phlebotomist aids both the Regional Operations Director and Laboratory Manager in training/ support areas to include the on-site medical assistants, blood draw instruction, communication with centralized lab/ compliance, and Blood Draw Support. Assist with executing routine Phlebotomy procedures and preparations in assigned area.
Essential Job Duties:
Aid in the cultivation of data and preparation of reports using Microsoft Excel
Assist providing onsite training to MA/Phlebotomists on proper Blood Draw and working with 3rd party vendors
Communicate effectively with the Regional Operations Director, Laboratory Operations Manager, Operation Directors, staff, and providers through meetings and other methods as necessary
Provide weekly update and action plan on blood draw rate (day 2 and total) to Regional Team
Weekly check-ins with each center
Assists with supply monitoring, ordering, inventory and storage to ensure adequate supply.
Identify and report any issues within the center
Provide Medical Assistant support to the field
Monitor volume of blood draws within territory if significant increase or decrease notify Laboratory Operations Manager and Regional Operations Director
Possess strong problem-solving skills, but is also able to effectively route issues to the proper personnel for resolution
Remain a functioning Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist as business needs require
Maintain working knowledge of health and safety procedures/regulations including but not limited to bloodborne pathogen training, first aid, and CPR as necessary
Cross-train in Front Desk, and Medical Assistant roles and responsibilities
Remain adaptable to a changing work environment
Required Travel up to 30%
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Education/Degree: Phlebotomy Certificate
Required Certification/License:
Reports to: Regional Operations Director
Required Work Experience:
1 year of experience required.
Training in Excel, Word, Access and other computer programming is preferred
Training in SelectIS Laboratory Information System and CareLogic Medical Information System will be provided
