Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system by collecting blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing. Your attention to detail and ability to provide excellent patient service will contribute to the accurate and efficient delivery of laboratory results.

Duties:
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
- Prepare and label specimens for laboratory testing
- Follow proper laboratory procedures and maintain aseptic technique
- Process and distribute specimens to the appropriate laboratory departments
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of specimens
- Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and order as needed
- Provide exceptional patient service, ensuring comfort and confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper specimen collection and processing
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Minimum 6 months work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and laboratory techniques
- Proficient in venipuncture and specimen collection processing
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively
- Familiarity with hospital or clinical laboratory settings is a plus
