Relief Home Health Services is Hiring a Prior Authorization Specialist Near Hyannis, MA
SUMMARY AND OVERALL OBJECTIVES:
The PA Specialist is responsible for maintaining required Prior Authorization documentation for clients of the Agency. Under the direction of the PA Department Coordinator, the PA Specialist will have regular interactions with insurance companies to ensure Agency documentation on file meets standards for compliance and billing.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of high school education
Previous experience with insurance billing not required, but a plus
Able to demonstrate proficiency with Excel, PDF editing software, Google Suite,
Microsoft applications, and have the ability to learn Agency's EMR
Excellent communication and time management skills
Must be organized & have meticulous attention to detail
Must pass criminal background check
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Complete tasks as assigned by the PA Department Coordinator
Utilize the Agency medical records system to maintain current, accurate PA documentation
Maintain charts and documentation needed to meet Prior Authorization standards
Utilize Agency specific systems as directed
Understand and adhere to various insurance company requirements and parameters
Maintain clear communication with clinical staff regarding documentation
Other tasks as assigned
