Loan Officer
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Loan Officer Assistant to join our team. As a LOA, you will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide them with suitable loan options. The ideal candidate has a strong background in credit analysis, loan origination, and financial services.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate loan applications and determine the creditworthiness of applicants
- Conduct thorough credit analysis and review financial documents
- Assess the risk involved in granting loans and make recommendations based on findings
- Provide excellent customer service by guiding clients through the loan application process
- Collaborate with clients to identify their financial goals and recommend suitable loan products
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including TILA and FNMA guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of loan applications, approvals, and denials
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other industry professionals
- Stay updated on market trends, interest rates, and industry changes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Loan Officer Assistant or similar role in the financial services industry
- In-depth knowledge of loan origination procedures and regulations
- Strong understanding of credit analysis principles and practices
- Familiarity with accounting software and mathematical skills for financial calculations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Valid license to originate loans (preferred)
