SUMMARY

Ensure safety and security of our property by visual inspection and potentially dispatching relative agencies for potential incidents. This is a position that requires strategic thinking and a discerning eye.

Responsibilities Include:

• Monitoring activity in critical areas
• Conducting real-time patrols of the external facility, checking for real and/or perceived risks, criminal activity, property damage, safety hazards, etc.

• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Performing a variety of administrative tasks to include completing shift activity reports, ensuring all required procedural actions and activities are recorded

• Maintaining applicable security records, as required

• Responds to emergency, fire alarms and break-ins alarms
• Administers CPR and first aid, if necessary
• Patrols parking lots; prevents unauthorized vehicles and people from using the parking lot.
• Notes and reports any deficiencies in the dealerships security measures
• Interfaces with responding police officers and other personnel as required
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
• Following and complying with all OSHA and company safety procedures
• When needed, shovels snow and salt all walkways around the lot ensure customer and employee safety is maintained.
• Perform other duties as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1. 1. Years previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields.

Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Not required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who may be emotionally upset.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver's License with CLEAN driving record.

Current Security License preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Prolonged periods of sitting in vehicle and driving through parking lot. Must be able to walk and or run as applicable. Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times. Work outdoors during inclement weather conditions. Be able to stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment can range from slow to fast paced. Work is performed inside and outside of company supplied vehicle with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations. Working with and exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise. Must adhere to company safety standards and procedures. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
