Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Location: Cleveland, GA 30528

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the nursing department. The ADON will ensure that the nursing staff provides high-quality patient care and meets all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff
  • Ensure that nursing staff provide high-quality patient care and meet all regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing staff
  • Assist in the development and implementation of nursing education programs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all quality standards
  • Assist in the development and management of the nursing department budget
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state of Georgia- required
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards
  • CPR Certificate
  • LTC experience a must
