Job Objective: Accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debts losses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations.
Receivable Responsibilities :
Assist the branch AR Specialists in creating new customer accounts in the system, as needed
Respond to all Credit References that are requested for all branches
Manage the Credit App inbox for all branches to ensure all required paperwork is received and completed in its entirety in order to process for credit approval
Work daily with all branch sales reps, managers, CSR's, Branch and Regional Managers to establish
credit and terms for new customers
Analyze requests for credit and assign credit lines in accordance with established guidelines and authority up to $50,000 for all branches
Contact trade references and run Experian, TransUnion and D&B reports for credit application
approval
Identify and manage marginal/high risk established customer for determination of terms & credit limit changes
Maintain complete and accurate credit files and records of all accounts
Maintain credit application files, including tax forms, credit reports, and credit applications
Adhere to established credit policies and procedures and changes requested by management
Meet or exceed turnaround times on application approvals set forth by management
Maintain credit application log for status of applications from all branches
Assist in creation, communication, and training of new processes
Train and manage direct report to associates
Process Electronic Credit Applications
Request credit references for credit approval and follow-up accordingly, both by e mail and phone
Customer Relations Responsibilities:
Develop meaningful relations hips with customers by understanding their needs and manage interactions with a positive attitude
Maintain relationships with sales team and branches s specifically as it relates to the status of customer accounts
Establish and maintain positive relationship/communication with other departments and branches to enhance customer service and promote organic sales growth
Obtain and provide reference requests on customers
Other:
Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service
Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
Travel as needed
