We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales and Supply to lead our sales and
supply team and drive growth in Americas region. As a key player in our company, you will
be responsible for managing a team of sales and supply account managers, establishing
and nurturing relationships with key partners in the region, and increasing the performance
of existing partners. You will be responsible to grow sales in your region, as well as playing
a crucial role in making our business profitable.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
Business Development:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our client base and increase market share.
  • Identify and prioritize key partners in the region, establish strong relationships, and negotiate favorable terms and contracts.
  • Proactively grow and manage your own and your team’s sales pipeline.
  • Attend travel conferences to increase your network and the promote our brand.
Industry Knowledge and Strategy:
  • Develop innovative sales strategies and initiatives to capitalize on market opportunities and address challenges.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
Account Management/Performance Optimization:
  • Oversee the team’s entire sales process from lead generation to contract signing, partner onboarding, and ongoing account management.
  • Drive initiatives to increase sales and profitability, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities in the region.
  • Support your team to develop successful business partnerships with clients, to manage all aspects of partner interactions from end-to-end.
  • Ensure seamless coordination with internal teams to streamline processes, address partner needs, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Analyze sales data, performance metrics, and market feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate with an associate's degree or higher.
  • Good communication skills and written proficiency in English (Spanish fluency would be a plus) as you will be required to work with stakeholders in the region
  • 7 years of experience in the Travel / Accommodation industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with XML/API integrations is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
