Position Overview:

REI Systems (REI) is looking for a Solutions Enterprise Architect to help delivery organization move to the next level of maturity in delivering solutions to the customer. Working with REI’s Delivery Excellence (DE) team and executives, successful candidates will support REI's DE strategy in ensuring solution excellence for our customers. The position enables REI to provide best-in-class solutions to our customers with high level of customer satisfaction. It also contributes toward REI's long-term strategy to organically acquire and retain customers and talent while expanding and deepening our portfolio of offerings

Responsibilities

Key Result Areas and Activities for Solutions Enterprise Architect:

  • Become a champion of Delivery Excellence initiative and works towards its success across the company.
  • Work with the DE team to identify gaps in processes being followed by delivery teams across the company.
  • Enable SMEs across each account in designing of new processes and best practices keeping in mind the types of projects REI has
  • Provide your expertise in all four pillars of the framework – Program and Project Mgmt, Customer Engagement, High Performing Teams and Engineering Excellence
  • Build tiger teams to help specific projects in each of the above areas on the need basis
  • Work with Account Teams and Project Teams to enable them to prioritize, track and provide encouragement.
  • Enable accounts to do more Innovation in their projects.
  • Own the internal tools used by the company.
  • Foster internal REI relationships and mentor senior technical staff
  • Generate thought leadership aligning to REI’s Delivery Excellence strategy.
  • Design compelling solutions for new and existing REI customers
  • Foster internal REI relationships and mentor senior technical staff
  • Support competitive technical proposal solutions.
  • Lead technical proposal solutioning sessions, driving to a compelling outcome.
  • Influence customers, employees, and partners

Qualifications

Work Experience:

15 years or more experience in software development, project management, or process improvement, with a focus on federal government projects.

Experience in Solutions Engineering, Project and Program Management, Running multiple Agile teams, and building strong relationship with customers is a must.

  • Delivery experience in enterprise-scale software for Federal agencies
  • Familiarity with multiple technology stacks, including low-code platforms
  • Experience in end-to-end solution development lifecycle and agile methodologies
  • Expertise in AWS cloud services supporting identity management, microservice and event-driven architectures and modern data architectures
  • Experience with delivery frameworks, such as Agile, DevSecOps, and integrated Human-Centered Design
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience; two years may be substituted for a master's degree
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (Master's degree is a plus)
  • Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods
  • At least one certification in a cloud platform like AWS

  • Able to write and present persuasively for customers communications and industry events such as conferences

  • Demonstrated ability to keep pace with emerging technologies, application modernization, and digital transformation trends

Skills:

  • Project Management: Proficiency in project management techniques, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze complex processes, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for interacting with stakeholders, clients, and team members. The ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences is important.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide teams and facilitate collaboration in achieving process improvement goals.
  • Problem-Solving: A knack for creative problem-solving and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Technical Knowledge: While you may not need to be a hands-on developer, a solid understanding of software development concepts, technologies, and methodologies is valuable for effective communication with technical team members.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant federal regulations, security standards (such as NIST), and compliance requirements is critical for ensuring that processes align with government mandates.
  • Change Management: Skill in managing organizational change, as process improvement often involves introducing new practices and procedures that may impact the existing workforce.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, business intelligence, economics, statistics, or mathematics

    Location: Hybrid role, coming to Sterling office 2 to 3 days per week.
