REI Systems is Hiring a Remote Software Training Specialist (mid-level)

Overview

REI Systems, Inc. is a dynamic and innovative company committed to excellence in providing software development and end user adoption. As we expand our team, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training Specialist to join our team.

As a Training Specialist, you will work closely with various stakeholders to develop engaging content and deliver effective training sessions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult learning principles, facilitation, content development, and a passion for creating a positive learning environment.

Location: Sterling, VA - 1 day on-site is required no opportunity for fully remote. 

Clearance: Eligible to obtain a public trust clearance, potential to gain Secret clearance in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Gain subject matter level expertise of proprietary software systems and business processes, through independent research and collaboration with others.
  • Design and develop comprehensive training materials, including user & facilitator guides, tip sheets, user manuals, presentations, videos, and wiki pages.
  • Apply Section 508 principles to all content designed and developed.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content. Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve and enhance training programs.
  • Collaborate on training and communication plans including deliverables and timelines.
  • Write targeted communications to end users to support user adoption.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive training using a variety of methods, such as instructor-led, self-paced, hybrid and virtual sessions.
  • Support evaluation of training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in training and development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, training, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Training Specialist or similar role, with at least 3 years in a software training position.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing instructional materials and facilitating training.
  • Ability to learn multiple proprietary software systems quickly.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and within time constraints.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with strong attention to detail and outstanding follow-through.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office 365, Adobe, and audio/video production tools.
