Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) in Maryland. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and uphold the agency's mission of promoting independence, inclusion, and quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures to assess the effectiveness and compliance of services provided.
  • Conduct regular audits, reviews, and site visits to monitor service delivery, documentation practices, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and best practices in service delivery.
  • Collaborate with DDA leadership, program managers, and external stakeholders to address gaps in service quality and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to DDA staff and service providers on quality assurance standards, documentation requirements, and best practices.
  • Respond to complaints, incidents, and critical incidents by conducting thorough investigations, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring follow-up and resolution.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and standards.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for DDA leadership and external stakeholders regarding quality assurance findings, trends, and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, public administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or program management, preferably in the field of developmental disabilities services.
  • Strong knowledge of Maryland DDA regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience conducting audits, reviews, and investigations related to service delivery and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including individuals with developmental disabilities, family members, service providers, and agency staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the state of Maryland.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Quality Assurance or related field.
  • Experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Knowledge of person-centered planning principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other data management tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,899.11 - $90,684.95 per year
