We are currently accepting applications from qualified truck drivers with at least 18 months of Tractor Trailer driving experience or 1 year of Tractor Trailer driving experience accompanied with accredited truck driving school.
 
 Job Description (Tractor – Trailer Drivers):

From delivering essential supplies to local businesses to ensuring timely shipments for our clients, you'll be the backbone of our operations. Job Duties:

  • Always keep safety as a priority when fulfilling duties.
  • Inspect truck before and after all trips and submit report indicating truck condition.
  • Read bill of lading to determine details of assignment.
  • Load or unload or assist in loading or unloading a truck.
  • Service truck with oil, fuel, and radiator fluid to properly maintain tractor daily.
  • Obtain customer’s signature for services.
  • Inventory and inspect goods to be moved.
  • Secure load in trailer using straps or placement of dunnage.
  • Drive tractor-trailer combination, applying awareness for safety and knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver products, livestock, and materials.
  • Observe all street signals, road signs, and other conditions in order to maintain control of vehicle at all times.
  • Maneuver truck into loading or unloading position, without causing damage to company equipment or property of those around the area.
  • Maintain driver log according to I.C.C. and DOT Regulations.

Skill Requirements:

  • Controlling safe operations of equipment and systems.
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Using mathematics to maintain hours of service, log count freight and solve problems.
  • Understanding written sentences, paragraphs, and instructions in work related documents.
  • Understanding verbal sentences, paragraphs, and instruction in work related communications.

Knowledge Requirements: 

  • Transportation – Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
  • Geography – Knowledge of principles and methods for describing the features of land, sea, and air masses, including their physical characteristics, locations, interrelationships, and distribution of a plant, animal, and human life.
  • Law and government – Knowledge of law, legal codes, court procedures, procedures, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and democratic political progress.
  • Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Public Safety and Security – Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, and national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
