Refuel is a chain of ~226 convenience store & quick service restaurant locations based out of Charleston, SC with locations across South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas. Refuel has plans to continue adding 50-60 stores per year over each of the next several years.

Job Description – Business Intelligence Analyst 

Technical Areas of Focus: 

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and deliver analytical insight and decision support (VP to C-level; Operations, Marketing, Foodservice, Fuel, Human Resources, and Development)
  • Develop and implement analytics strategies to meet annual company initiatives 
  • Partner with IT to understand database structure and SQL table design 
  • Manipulate and transform data in Power Query Editor to increase report update speed/efficiency and enable automatic updates 
  • Maintain and improve existing analytics with Report Builder design and distribution scheduler.

Core Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Business/ Finance /Economics/Analytics/Statistics) 
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI 
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel/PowerPoint 
  • C-store or retail industry experience preferred but not required 
  • Position is currently based in North Charleston, SC
  • Reports to FP&A Senior Director
