Summary Description: Ø The Mechanic – Building Maintenance is responsible for conducting, maintaining, testing and repairing all beverage line electrical, control systems, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to intended operation. Essential Functions: Ø Keep all safety material current and readily accessible. This includes MSDS sheets, HAZCOM recordkeeping, EPA regulations, and OSHA requirements. Ø You must be aware of the condition of physical property throughout the facility and immediately correct unsafe conditions. Ø Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance Ø Schedule and perform minor and routine maintenance on all appropriate equipment on a regular basis. Inspect and maintain all tools in excellent condition. Ø Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials to handle most common repairs and situations. Ø Learn and comply with all company safety rules. Use appropriate safety equipment at all times. Be familiar with all safety features on equipment, machinery, or materials encompassed by job duties. Immediately report any unsafe conditions to the manager. Ø Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair involving the following on a daily basis: o Electrical and plumbing (including water lines) o A/C and heating systems o Appliances o Water irrigation systems o Stairs, gates, fences, patios, and railings o Tile, carpet, and flooring o Roofing, gutters, fasteners o Interior/exterior lights o Fireplaces, ceiling fans o Gas fixtures and appliances o Door locks, P.O. boxes and locks o Security systems o Ceiling leaks o Walls Required Skills and Competencies: Ø High level of proficiency in written, verbal, and arithmetic skills Ø Ability to plan and juggle multi task environment and lead maintenance team Ø Ability to train and direct maintenance staff Ø Ability to earn future designations as required by Industry standards, EPA regulations, OSHA requirements, etc. Ø Must possess solid knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc. information as required by daily operations Ø Must pass FCM Maintenance Skills Competency Test Proficiency Level: Ø N/A Education and Experience: Ø Minimum of ___ experience in property maintenance Ø High school diploma required Working Conditions: Ø Physical-Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight. Ø Visual/Sensory-This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time. Ø Work environment- Work and environment are very repetitive. Ø Mental Stress- There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
