Overall, the minimum qualifications for an intern may vary depending on the department and the specific needs of that department, but having a combination of relevant coursework/experiences, strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are important for success in an internship with Refined Technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Assist with day-to-day tasks: This may include administrative tasks such as data entry, responding to emails, tracking product samples from suppliers, communicating with suppliers, filing paperwork and other duties as assigned.

· Conduct research: You may be responsible for conducting research on a particular topic, such market trends, suppliers’ capabilities, quality standards, delivery performance and industry best practices.

· Evaluate Supplier proposals: You may be asked to obtain quotes from different suppliers and compile a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.

· Attend meetings: As an intern, you may be asked to attend meetings with other members of the team or with suppliers to provide input, evaluate proposals, take notes, or assist with presentations.

· Manage Data Repository: You may be asked to assist in creating a data repository with product specification, material safety data sheets and registrations for existing product portfolio.

· Shadow colleagues: You may be assigned to shadow colleagues in different departments or teams to learn about their roles and responsibilities and gain exposure to different parts of the company.

· Assist with projects: You may be assigned to assist with specific projects or initiatives, which may involve collaborating with other team members, conducting research, and completing tasks as assigned.

· Learn new skills: As an intern, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills related to your field of study, such as marketing, finance, or engineering, and gain hands-on experience that will be valuable in your future career.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

· Currently enrolled in a college or university at the undergraduate or graduate level (or recently graduated).

· Relevant coursework or experiences in line with the sought department; preferably in Supply Chain Management or Chemical Engineering. 

· Strong academic record.

· Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients.

· Strong organizational skills: should be organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

· Attention to detail: should have strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in their work.

· Strong work ethic: should have a strong work ethic and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

· Must have an interest in helping others (servant’s heart), work well as a team member and enjoy developing new relationships. 

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook. 

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

· This work would primarily take place in the office setting. 

· Work will typically be performed in an office environment using routine office equipment

· Ability to lift 5-15 pounds as needed when moving business files and/ or papers. 

Travel Requirements

Limited travel may be required to support business needs including training and off-site meetings.
