We are seeking an Estimator to work at a program level. As a member ofthe planning organization, this position is not a detailed, day to dayestimating position, it’s more so working at a higher level performing what ifscenarios, creating the framework of estimating, conducting time value of moneycalculations and reporting the organization and more.

The estimator will support the team's ability to deliver accurate andcost competitive bids.This role willprovide support to project managers and engineers supporting renewablegeneration projects to support the company's clean energy transition.This position is responsible for developingand promoting department standards for project controls practices and advisingand assisting in the initial development of project control methods for largeprojects including work breakdown structure, accounting, scheduling,estimating, and reporting. Provides direction to various project personnel andproject controls specialists as needed to prepare project schedules, projecttracking methods, Cost Activity Reports and project metrics for effectiveproject management.

The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert inestimating, focusing on strategic oversight rather than detailed takeoffs. Thisindividual will be tasked with extracting pertinent information fromcontractors' submissions, facilitating bid preparation in collaboration withthe supply chain team, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout theprocess.

This individual will collaborate closely with the division'sEstimator, with additional support provided by the Project Controls group.

Responsibilities:

·Responsible for working with Project team toreview and refine project estimates for multiple, complex projects. Works tostandardize initial development efforts for the ongoing estimating process byself and others, including working as a fully competent estimator in allconventional aspects of the subject matter or the functional area of theassignment. 

·Provides training for project personnelregarding project controls and its function within the overall six step projectmanagement process. Provides direction to less experienced project controlspersonnel to plan and schedule assigned projects.

·Assists Project Managers and other personnel inpreparing project related reports, schedules, and cost analysis. Initial setupof large projects for all aspects of project controls. Promotes the ProjectOffice concept and communicates and establishes the Project Controls functionwithin the Project Office.

·Maintains a thorough, current knowledge of newand innovative techniques in the project planning, scheduling, and costestimating fields. Represents the department in meetings and in efforts topromote standard project practices throughout the business area.

·Provides ongoing support for the optimalperformance of the Online Project Management System. Demonstrates super usercapabilities with the Online Project Management System

·Provides detailed tracking and reporting ofproject control metrics including Earned Value, Cost Performance Index,Schedule Performance Index, project costs to date, cost variance, schedulevariance and resource allocation and utilization. Performs resource levelinganalyses as required.

·Establishes Work Breakdown Structure standardsin conjunction with Sr. Specialist, Project Cost Controls. Provides projectcontrols individual and group training.

·Works to standardize initial developmentefforts for the ongoing estimating process by self and others, includingworking as a fully competent estimator in all conventional aspects of thesubject matter or the functional area of the assignment.

Requirements

·Bachelor’s degree from an accrediteduniversity, or equivalent relevant experience with knowledge of projectplanning, scheduling and cost estimating techniques.

·Minimum of 5-10 years' related experience.

·Practical knowledge of overall project control,estimating, and reporting methods and working knowledge scheduling and costcontrol for application in project cost estimating, organization, and control.

·Detailed knowledge of project planning,scheduling, and monitoring/control methods and practices.

·Comprehensive understanding of companypolicies, procedures and financial obligations that would apply to projects.

·Expert in standard server software applicationssuch as e-mail, spreadsheet, word processing, database, as well as schedulingand cost estimating software applications.

·Past experience with software tool developmentfor project management desirable.

Target - $80,000-110,000 Base Salary 10% Bonus
