Position : Bank Teller

Location : West Salem, WI

Schedule :

• Monday to Thursday, 8 AM - 5 PM
• Every 3rd Friday, 7 : 15 AM - 5 : 30 PM
• One Saturday a month, 8 : 30 AM - Noon
• 40 hours a week on average

Salary : Starting at $17.00 / hr

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and credit card cash advances, adhering to bank procedures on funds availability, holds, and check verifications.
• Efficiently balance and maintain the cash drawer and branch vault daily, and ensure the teller area is always neat and well-supplied.
• Handle the preparation and sale of money orders, process orders for currency and coin for business customers, and manage credit card cash advances.
• Oversee the ATM's operational needs, including balancing, filling, and processing night deposits, coupled with the accurate processing of all work through Item Capture sent to the Core Processor.
• Count, verify, strap, and wrap currency and coin, maintaining meticulous accuracy and attention to detail.
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting with account inquiries, photocopies, and directing phone calls to appropriate personnel.
• Proactively recognize customer needs to explain, promote, and sell appropriate banking products, enhancing customer satisfaction and engagement.
• Assist fellow employees, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, and take on additional duties as assigned.
• Uphold and promote a thorough understanding of all bank regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Information Privacy, and Currency Transaction rules, ensuring compliance and maintaining bank security at all times.

Requirements :

• High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary courses in finance or bookkeeping a plus
• 3 months to 1 year of related banking or cash-handling experience
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to assist customers effectively
• Proficient in basic mathematics and understanding of bookkeeping principles
• Multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, and proficient with keyboarding and using banking software
• Physical capability to manage cash boxes and stand for extended periods
