The Division of Student Life Student and Campus Life cluster is looking for equity-minded applicants who represent the full diversity of Reed College and who demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds present in our community. As an Area Coordinator, you will lead a team of talented student leaders.
The Area Coordinator (AC) is a professional staff position that serves as a 12-month live-in role that has primary responsibility for managing the daily operations of one or more of our residence halls on campus and is the primary manager and educator for those communities.The anticipated start date is as soon as April 1, 2024.
Reed is a residential college that provides on-campus housing in small residential communities for a majority of its students in order to sustain vibrant social and intellectual exchange outside of the classroom and laboratory. The residence life team fosters a residential experience where students are supported in their academic pursuits, personal growth, and belonging in the Reed community. We support academic belonging, diversity and respect for human dignity, and student success. In alignment with the division of student life, we embody the values of EDI in programming, practice and culture as we work collaboratively to become an Anti-Racist organization. The annual salary range for this position is $49,000-$52,500 per year. Pay offers are dependent on experience and are determined in conjunction with an internal pay equity assessment. This is an exempt position on grade 4.
