Essential Functions Statement(s):

  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws.
  • The HR Coordinator will assist with filling staff vacancies by recruiting, screening, and scheduling select qualified applicants for the HR Team.
  • Complete reference checking on candidates and make job offers.
  • Administer background check and drug testing appointments and complete onboarding tasks for new hires.
  • Plan and assist with the coordination of new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
  • Communicate and partner with operations on reviews overdue, currently due, and next month due to ensure on-time compliance.
  • Work with HR Team and Operations Team to ensure monthly TIO Communication Meetings with employees are held.
  • Maintain all personnel files and safety files per audit standards.
  • Schedule exit interviews with departing employees for the HR Team.
  • Assist with the coordination of all Employee Engagement activities.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.

Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

EXPERIENCE:

5 related experience, Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient with Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) E-mail, Internet and ability to learn UKG HRIS system

Certificates & Licenses: PHR preferred

Other Requirements: Manufacturing environment preferred
