Redwoods Post Acute is a skilled nursing facility with 152 beds located in the heart of Willow Glen in San Jose California.

We are looking for a committed, caring, and reliable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, COTA to join our in-house rehab team for our Skilled Nursing Facility!

• Pay Range: $48 to $52 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist occupational therapists in evaluating and assessing patients' needs and capabilities

• Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Provide hands-on therapy and interventions to patients as part of their treatment plan

• Teach patients new skills and techniques to enhance their independence and daily functioning

• Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans

• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and thoroughly

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients

REQUIREMENTS:

• Certification as an occupational therapy assistant

• Interest in working with the geriatric population

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and interventions

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work with patients of all ages and varying conditions

EXPERIENCE:

• With Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care, experience is a plus

• Experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
