JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Redwood Plastics and Rubber is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our growing team in Woodland, WA. The open position works 5 days/week for 8 hours/day. Shifts run from 8:00am – 4:30pm, Mon - Fri.

Primary responsibilities include safe forklift operation, identifying and selecting materials for delivery to Fabrication or the CNC Routers, Inventory cycle counts, data entry, email communication, daily stock reporting, and assisting in other departments as required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate with “safety first” behaviors at all times.
  • Always wear required PPE.
  • Operate all equipment safely per our accident prevention program and job hazard analysis’.
  • Balance excellent safe working habits with a healthy sense of urgency.
  • Execute required paperwork/workflow in detail.
  • Categorize and label materials.
  • Organize and safely store materials.
  • Document material deliveries on the shop schedule.
  • Perform stock checks and report via email to admin and/or other branches within 2 hours.
  • Perform monthly cycle counts of inventory.
  • Categorize and organize discarded materials for recycle.
  • Embrace collaboration and seek performance feedback from peers.
  • Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and presentable.
  • Safely load and unload trucks with a forklift.
  • Safely load and unload pallet racking with a forklift.
  • Assist in other departments as required.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent spoken and written English is required.
  • Ability to safely lift 75 lbs is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • A strong sense of urgency while operating safely is required.
  • Safety first mentality is required.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift is required.
  • Experience with industrial plastics, rubbers, and/or polyurethanes preferred.
  • Experience with plastic, metal, and/or wood fabrication preferred.
  • 2 years of material handling; shipping, receiving, or similar experience is preferred.
  • An understanding of blueprint/drawing interpretation is preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
