Redington Fairview General Hospital is Hiring an Admitting Office Supervisor Near Skowhegan, ME

Redington-Fairview General Hospital (RFGH) has been providing care as an independent, community hospital in Skowhegan, Maine since 1952. Today, RFGH is a 25-bed critical access facility that provides health care for more than 30,000 residents living in Somerset County, which extends from Skowhegan to the Canadian border. The Admitting/Switchboard Supervisor performs various supervisory functions under the general supervision of the Director of Health Record Services, will be expected to act independently and be able to assist the Director when needed. The Supervisor will be expected to know the functions of the Admitting Department, insurances, computer use and ancillary department functions and needs and must have knowledge of third party payers and basic medical terminology. The Supervisor must have the ability to plan and control the activities and functions of Registration and the Switchboard.

Status: Full time, 40 hours/week. Supervisor will share in the coverage of the Department Mon – Fri 5:45 AM to 7:00 PM.

Requirements:

Management/Leadership experience with the skills to supervise and lead a team of patient access staff, including all aspects of training, trouble-shooting, performance evaluations, and process improvements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families and healthcare staff
Ability to multitask, prioritize, time manage, and problem solve
Exceptional computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple electronic resources
Patient Access experience including knowledge of insurance coverages and regulations is preferred
