We are currently seeking a dependable and reliable Personal Care Attendant to join our team, providing crucial support to individuals in need of personalized care. The primary responsibilities of this role include assisting clients with activities of daily living, with a specific focus on bowel movement assistance. The ideal candidate should also be willing to learn and operate an electric Hoyer lift for safe transfers. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide compassionate and respectful assistance with activities of daily living, placing special emphasis on bowel movement support.

2. Learn and proficiently operate an electric hoyer lift for safe and efficient transfers of clients with mobility challenges.

3. Foster a trusting and supportive relationship with clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

4. Demonstrate reliability by consistently meeting scheduled shifts and maintaining open communication with the care team.

5. Monitor and document changes in clients' conditions, promptly reporting any concerns to the appropriate parties.

6. Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment.

7. Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of medical waste.

8. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to deliver personalized care plans.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Previous experience in personal care or a related field is advantageous, although not required.

3. Willingness to learn and operate an electric hoyer lift for transfers.

4. Demonstrated dependability and reliability in previous roles.

5. Compassionate and empathetic approach towards clients.

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
