Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Handler. As a Handler, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support for animals in our facility. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners.
Duties:
- Handle and restrain animals safely and securely
- Assist with the feeding, grooming, and exercise of animals
- Clean and maintain kennels, cages, and other animal living areas
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to supervisory staff
- Assist with basic training exercises for dogs
- Interact with customers, answering questions and providing excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques and safety protocols
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Customer service experience is a plus
Pay depends on work ethic and experience. Must be able to provide outstanding care to our furry guests and work in a team.
