The Application Developer I develops and maintains a web-based Safety Management System. The objective of the TSS Safety Management System is to provide a structured management approach to control safety risks in operations. Effective safety management must take into account the organization’s specific structures and processes related to safety of operations.

Essential Functions of the Position

• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains applications.
• Evaluates and modifies moderately complex applications programs working from detailed specifications.
• Works on most phases of applications programming activities.
• Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
• Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work
• Gathers, documents, and analyzes user needs and design requirements.
• Develops software systems including appropriate design and use of error handling, logging, and monitoring.
• Ensures that all courseware development and program development is documented upon request.
• Performs additional relevant duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

No direct supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

• Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

• Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
• Noise level can range from minimal to intense.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of web development experience.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be proficient with php.
• Must be proficient with JavaScript, Vue.JS or JQuery frameworks preferred.
• Must be familiar with a source control system, preferably Git.
• Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
• Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
• Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments accurately and on time.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree
• Possess a Valid Drivers’ License without special restrictions.

Security Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Secret Security Clearance required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
