Job Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Job Summary: The Facility Greeter (Greeter) welcomes and assists patients, their families and visitors entering the facility. Greeter working in this capacity answer questions, provide information and direct people to the facility location they need, thus creating an atmosphere in the facility that is caring, yet efficient.
Special requirements: Mature, dependable and caring individual who has the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients, families, visitors and staff. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Cordially greets visitors and patients upon arrival.
  • Ascertains patients’ and or visitors’ needs and directs them accordingly.
  • Provides assistance to patients and visitors by obtaining wheelchairs, or other services as needed.
  • Escorts or transports patients who need help to their destination within the facility.
  • Provides patients with clinic forms, such as In House Transfer Requests and Medical Records Releases, and provides instructions on the completion of the forms.
  • Assists patients in calling for a ride as needed.
  • Keeps the front driveway clear and unobstructed for patient and visitor drop-off and pick-up.
  • Contacts Security, House Keeping Services, or Management for assistance when necessary.
  • Monitors the overall appearance of the facility entrance.
  • Recognizes and responds appropriately to violent/abusive situation, fire, and emergency situations.
  • Processes information into Electronic Medical Record

  • Categorizes, dates, and labels loose medical documents
  • Scans loose medical documents per protocol
  • Accurately imports registration documents into patient’s electronic health record.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read, understand and record patient and medical information accurately is required.
  • Ability to communicate information accurately and to respond accurately to questions from coworkers, patients, clients, physicians and the general public is required.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists is required. Ability to understand and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and or schedule form is required.

  • Judgment Contacts: Makes sound and timely decisions regarding one’s work, personal appearance, and demeanor
  • Emotional Intelligence: Maintains basic emotional and social competencies to include self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills.

Job Qualifications:
Equipment operated: Standard office equipment including computers, faxes, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Education/Experience: High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience. Experience in the medical field is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred.
Physical: While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and to stand, to manipulate and operate office and medical equipment including telephones and computers, to reach, to greet and to assist patients, walk and move up and down from surfaces of uneven height, and occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) to twenty-five (25) pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee will be in contact with patients who may have infectious agents.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
