About Us:

Housed in a 100 year old building that was previously St. Petersburg's first firehouse, Red Mesa Cantina is a local and tourist destination featuring award-winning Mexican and Latin-American dishes with bold, fresh flavors. Attracting guests via both classic and modernized dishes, Red Mesa Cantina is known for its delicious tacos, burritos, ceviches as well as many other mouth-watering small plates and entrees.

Cantina features a vibrant indoor dining room and outdoor courtyard dining with an elaborate fountain and beautiful scenery. The first floor of the 15 year old establishment has bars inside (Tequila Bar) and outside (Lucha Bar) and offers one of most extensive selections of tequilas and Mezcals in the South as well a wide range of beers, wines and spirits and acclaimed margaritas/sangrias and other trend-setting cocktails.

Job Description:

Join us as a pivotal member of our team! We are currently seeking a talented Restaurant Manager to collaborate closely with our General Manager at Red Mesa Cantina. In this role, you will play a crucial part in upholding our standards of service, quality, and hospitality.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless restaurant operations and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the restaurant staff, fostering a positive work environment and maintaining high morale.
  • Oversee daily operations, including staff management, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
  • Uphold rigorous standards of cleanliness, service, and food quality to surpass guest expectations.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales, enhance revenue, and meet financial objectives.
  • Monitor and manage operational costs, including labor and inventory, to optimize profitability.
  • Train and mentor staff to deliver outstanding service and uphold our brand ethos.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and offer constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a secure and healthy workplace environment.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with customers, addressing feedback promptly and resolving any concerns effectively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant management or a similar leadership role.
  • Proven track record of success in managing restaurant operations, achieving targets, and driving profitability.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Familiarity with local health and safety regulations.
  • Passion for the restaurant industry and a dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
