Responsibilities

  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, hygiene, and grooming
  • Taking and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Reporting any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff 
  • Assisting with patient mobility, positioning, and transferring, using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to patients, addressing their concerns and helping to alleviate their anxieties
  • Ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control protocols
  • Participating in ongoing education, training, and development opportunities to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge
  • Working effectively as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care services to patients

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining patient safety and privacy
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by facility needs
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Proof of COVID vaccination required
  • Willingness to undergo a background check
