Red Hawk Fire Protection, LLC is Hiring a Fire Alarm Technician Near Puyallup, WA

Job Responsibilities: Perform small installations, inspections, test alarms, and troubleshoot or document any issues in both residential and commercial facilities. Technician will also respond to emergency service calls and ensure the systems comply with relevant codes and regulations. Applicants for this position should have a minimum of their NICET level II or higher certification, Licensed EL06 in Washington State, Seattle FA-1. You should also be knowledgeable about NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in the life safety/security industry.
  • Ensures compliance with all cities, state and federal regulations as applicable to service, installation, and maintenance of all systems including OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents including plans and specifications.
  • Proven analytical thinking and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Client-driven people skills and proven ability to build long term customer relationships.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, driving record, background, and reference check.
  • WA State EL-06 Journeyman License is mandatory.
  • NICET II or higher for test and inspection.
  • Seattle FA-1 Certificate
  • Valid State Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Installs, repairs, tests and handles maintenance of fire and security projects as assigned.
  • Provides field customer service to customer and represents Red Hawk Fire Protection in a professional manner.
  • Ensures compliance with all cities, state and federal regulations as applicable to service, installation, and maintenance of all systems including OSHA safety standards.
  • Maintains vehicle, uniform, and tools per policy.
  • Accurately completes all paperwork related to service orders, projects and compliance.
  • Installs conduit, as necessary.
  • Trains customers on the usage of all applicable products for installation and/or upgrades.
  • Always maintains a professional appearance.
  • Always maintains confidentiality; and
  • Performs all other duties as assigned within your qualifications.
  • Work on projects start to finish and be involved in customer follow up
  • Ensure all work scheduled is serviced, invoiced, and reported if needed
  • Make sure the customer is satisfied with the work completed
  • Constructively manage (or relay to your supervisor for the handling of) all customer complaints related to your department
  • Constantly strive toward continuing professional growth and work to improve your business skills
  • Honor all schedules and commitments
  • Lead by example
  • Create an environment of high professionalism, integrity, honesty, quality, and success
  • Seek out new customers
  • Build new customer relationships while nurturing old relationships

Essential skills

  • Strong organization skills, good email and phone etiquette, prioritizing, ability to communicate precisely
  • Knowledgeable in programs like Word, Excel, and email applications like Mac mail or Outlook, Ability to work at a fast pace, fire alarm and security industry experience.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check

Working Conditions

Expected working hours and conditions are as follows:

7:00am – 3:30pm Monday thru Friday.

Willing to be on call for after hour emergencies

Physical Requirements

Repetitive tasks including, but not limited to:

Lifting 50-75 lbs., walking up and down flights of stairs, prolonged standing

Salary Range: $35.00-$50.00 per hour Depending on Experience

Vehicle, Company card, basic tools

Paid Time Off: 40 hours upon completion of 90-day probationary period

Holiday: 8 Paid Holidays
