RPS Machine Operators are responsible for the operation of plastic extrusion lines in accordance with standard operating and quality procedures and training to meet or exceed productivity requirements and minimize downtime and waste. This position provides opportunities to apply knowledge, learn new skills, and work as a team. Preference will be given to candidates who have extrusion operation experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance in a fast-paced and demanding team setting

· Set up, troubleshoot, and perform proper adjustments to extrusion equipment

· Start, run, and stop extrusion equipment following guidelines and process parameters established by management

· Ensure operating parameters are tuned to maximize extruder performance and product quality

· Perform proper screen pack changes, breaker plate maintenance, and area clean-up as required

· Assist maintenance technicians as necessary

· Operate fork trucks, platform trucks, and various hand tools as needed

· Ensure the proper identification of all inventory

· Keep accurate records of production

· Maintain warehouse organization and order to ensure safety and efficiency

· Comply will all safety regulations and apply good judgment to all tasks

· Communicate and collaborate with all co-workers

· Perform other tasks as directed by management

Requirements

· 1 years of experience with extrusion operation

· Basic math, reading, and handwriting skills with strong attention to detail

· Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, bend, and climb

· Willing to work 12-hour shifts on a split schedule with occasional overtime
