Position: Store Manager
Location: Detroit, MI
Salary: $20/hr

Position Overview:
Success as a Rebel Nell Store Manager is about cultivating an engaging environment by motivating and inspiring others through modeling our core values. The District Manager will ensure that their store meets sales targets and is operated at peak efficiency. They will create a culture that is diverse, welcoming, embraces Rebel Nell’s core values while also creating a culture that is passionate about sales and customer service. The Store Manager will report directly to the District Manager.
Essential Functions: Include but not limited to:
Leadership and people management
● Forecast staffing needs and develop a recruiting strategy to ensure optimal staffing
● Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of individuals who are highly motivated to meet and exceed both sales goals and customer service expectations
● Develop a team who is passionate about Rebel Nell’s mission, creating a culture of inclusivity, and a team of product experts
● Support ongoing learning and development of all team members consistently and equitably by providing direct feedback, coaching, mentoring, continuous development check-ins, and leading performance management activities
● Address all employee concerns and issues, including knowing when to partner with internal support to take appropriate action
Drive efficiency and grow sales
● Understand sales trends of the industry and your individual store and utilize that knowledge to create a strategy that will maximize sales opportunities
● Create and lead a service culture utilizing tools and routines that model, train, and coach behavioral expectations to deliver the the service standard
● Develop a team and culture that is committed to excellent customer service and shares services like the Rebel Nell Rewards program to drive repeat customers
● Collaborate with the District Manager to develop and implement product knowledge, customer service, and SOP trainings with the intention of creating effective selling strategies
● Cultivate new and existing customer relationships to build loyalty and repeat business
● Drive proactive sales through identifying creative ways to drive foot traffic to the store, including but not limited to strategic partnerships, mall marketing, and events
Perform Event Operations
● Collaborate with the District Manager to develop a plan to successfully implement corporate event directives
● Identify strategic opportunities to hold twice monthly in-store events, driving foot traffic into the store and increasing sales
● Perform event preparation, execution, and take-down
● Set store and team goals, deliver feedback and results to District Manager after each event
Oversee daily store operations of the store
● Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is efficient
● Initiate changes to improve the business including, but not limited to revising store hours to ensure the store competes effectively in the local market
● Ensure all products and displays are merchandised to visual standards, in order to maximize sales and profitability
● Maintain inventory levels and secure merchandise by implementing inventory management best practices and loss prevention measures
● Consistently deliver feedback and product needs to the District Manager
Our Requirements:
● Three-five years of retail management experience
● Strong communication skills that engage people in a genuine and authentic way while proactively connecting to the team to drive behavior and results
● Highly organized, able to multi-task, and easily adapt and respond to change
● Excellent selling and interpersonal skills
● Self-motivated, positive, and a team player
● Dependable, timely, and adapts well to change
● Personal characteristics reflective of Rebel Nell: self-motivated, driven, positive and humble attitude, service-focused, flexible, fun-loving personality, and ethical with a high degree of integrity
● Belief in and passion for the Rebel Nell and our core values
● Basic math and computer proficiency
● Proven ability to learn and comply company policies and procedures
● Ability to stand and/or walk for at least 6 hours per shift
● Ability to lift and move at least 30 lbs
