Assistant Construction Superintendent
ReArch Company’s geography is growing in Southern Vermont and New Hampshire, and we are seeking Assistant Superintendents for our growing project base in Lebanon and Newport, NH and Putney, VT. Reporting to ReArch’s Director of Field Operations, Assistant Superintendents may directly supervise smaller projects, or they may work closely with Superintendents to help manage midsize to large commercial construction projects. Type of projects might include healthcare facilities, retail, commercial office, industrial, education/institutional work, senior living/multifamily and limited custom private residences. The Assistant Superintendent role is responsible for overseeing specific areas of the construction site, coordinating with subcontractors to ensure work is done efficiently and effectively, and reporting promptly to the Superintendent with any issues or delays that arise. The typical pay range for this position is $35-45/hour depending on experience.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience supervising field activities on commercial construction projects either as the lead supervisor or in a supporting capacity, and possess a college and/or professional degree, preferably in construction management or a related field, or have a commensurate level of experience. In addition to extensive construction knowledge and a long history of successfully managed projects, the ideal candidate has a personable and courteous attitude towards their coworkers, the ability to collaborate in a positive and respectful manner with subcontractors and regulators, and above all a proactive approach to providing outstanding customer service.
