Software Engineer

 *This position is based in our Austin, TX headquarters. This is not a remote position. 

• Design APIs, database models and schemas that combine raw information from different sources to create consistent and machine-readable formats
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and GCP ‘big data’ technologies
• Identify, design, and implement internal business improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing the delivery of data, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, and anything that can reduce technical debt
• Build analytics tools that utilize different data pipeline sources to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, behavior (ex. Google Analytics, Search Console, Ads, etc) and operational efficiency (ex. JIRA, Slack, etc)

 Eventual Responsibilities:

• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements in the decentralized wireless / telecom vertical
• Develop architectures that enable scalable data extraction and transformation for both predictive and prescriptive modeling

• 6 years of professional programming experience
• Experience with modern statically typed programming languages, bonus points for Golang
• Advanced proficiency with Postgres and relational databases including schema design and normalization as well as analyzing and suggesting optimizations to queries
• Familiarity and experience with CI/CD concepts, bonus points for Github Actions
• Desire to use, build and maintain GitOps flows
• A commitment to well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
• Experience with infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Github CI/CD, AWS/GCP, cloud native technologies
• Deep understanding of internet concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, caching, load balancing)
