This full time position will report to the Facility Manager at Reagent’s Rail Shop located in St Gabriel, LA. Below are details and scope of the position.

Responsibilities:

A Reagent Rubber Liner is expected to have mechanical aptitude and experience. Reagent rubber liners inspect interiors of rail cars/trailers/vessels/tanks, spark test, sandblast, and apply adhesives, interior linings, service equipment fittings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Working closely with others in the rail car rubber-lining department to perform all functions relative to rail car disassembly, assembly, cleaning and spark testing of rubber-lined rail cars.• Inspecting and repairing other rubber-lined vessels, including trailers and storage tanks.• Includes the tasks of sand blasting, adhesive applications, stock cutting, and lining applications.• The work must comply with federal regulatory and industry requirements as well as company procedures & requirements.• ~15% travel to perform rubber-lining duties at remote locations throughout the United States.

Education / Experience:
• 3-5 years of mechanical experience • High school education or general education (GED)• Experience as a Level I, II, or III Rubber Liner in the rubber lining, rail industry or related field highly desired• Ability to work in a confined space• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Compensation:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience
