Reach Cyber Charter School is Hiring a Driver Near Harrisburg, PA
- Drive the school’s STEM vehicles to and from STEM events and other school-sponsored activities.
- Drive the STEM vehicles back to the storage facility upon conclusion of events.
- Prepare, inspect, and operate all STEM vehicles.
- Follow routes, traffic laws, and time schedule.
- Perform walk-around inspections, general operator maintenance of the STEM vehicles.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of all the STEM vehicles.
- Fill fuel tank and water tank as needed.
- At school events, assist with setup and organization of event.
- Load and unload supplies and equipment.
- Assist with the school event and activity setup and breakdown, as needed.
- Conform to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Report any vehicle accident, vehicle damage, inoperative or inoperable vehicle equipment to the Director of STEM Education immediately.
- Inform the Director of STEM Education of any motor vehicle infractions, change in driver’s license status, and/or change in ability to drive the STEM vehicles immediately.
- Log travel expenses
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of school policies and procedures.
- Consistently provide service excellence to all staff, students, family members, and volunteers.
- Minimum Education/Certification:
- Hold a valid Class B Non-commercial Driver’s License and meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- Must be 25 years of age or older.
- Required to pass background checks that includes State Criminal History, FBI Clearance, Child Abuse History Clearance, in addition to PENNDOT and other background verification processes.
- Pass a company road test.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Experience Requirements:
- At least three (3) full years of verifiable experience within the last five (5) years driving or operating commercial or large vehicles, or certified completion of a qualified, comprehensive driver training.
- Satisfactorily complete a physical exam and drug and alcohol screening.
- Driving record without motor vehicle violations for five (5) years prior to date of hire, and during employment.
- Ability to pass background checks required for all school employees in Pennsylvania.
- Must maintain a valid Class A or B Non-commercial Driver’s License and meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
- This position will require extensive travel and frequent overnight travel.
