Position Overview

A Senior Estimator/Project Coordinator is a full-time position at RDS. This position works in partnership with vendors, clients, and all levels of the organization. The responsibilities include take off plans, create estimated costs for jobs and sell to clients. Project management for ongoing jobs. All managers are expected to be independent and self motivated while still providing support to other departments as needed. We are looking to add a manager that is highly motivated and will add creative solutions to our team.

Qualifications

- Required- 8 Prior years commercial estimating/project manager experience

- Clean AZ driving record, DMV report required

- Pre employment drug test and background check

- Must have good knowledge of the trade and the NEC

- Must be experienced in estimating and project management, McCormick a plus

- Must have good technology skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam and computer estimating

- Solid communication and time management skills

- Needs high attention to detail for accurate estimating and project coordination.

- Must have confirmable references

Job Description

ESTIMATING

1. Perform counts and take off of jobs using McCormick Estimating with updated material pricing and RDS estimating processes.

2. Present proposal to client and sell work.

3. Create quality bids, timely, proposals with complete scope and follow up with the customer.

4. Have big picture perspective regarding critical path needs on jobsites for all departments.

5. Need a leadership approach for betterment of the company including systems, manager’s and best practices.

PROJECT ENGINEER

1. Responsible for Pre job meeting and hand off to Foreman

2. Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of long lead items.

3. Price and process change orders

4. Create new job and budgets.

5. Review and monitor job cost for potential issues.

6. Process monthly billings

7. Assist field superintendent and foreman with technical questions.
