RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Pediatric Registered Dietitian for 8-24 hrs/week in the area for an 8-13 week assignment with potential to renew!

Schedule: Flexible schedule. Evenings and weekends are acceptable. 

Compensation: $30.00-$36.00/hour DOE.

Travel Compensation: $30.00-$36.00/hour (For travel time to and from the facility).

At least 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for pediatric patients to identify their nutritional needs and determine appropriate interventions.
2. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on the patient's medical condition, growth and development, and dietary preferences.
3. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition therapy into the overall treatment plan.
4. Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families on topics such as proper feeding techniques, specialized diets, and healthy lifestyle habits.
5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the nutrition care plan and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
6. Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record system accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Stay up to date with the latest research and guidelines in pediatric nutrition to provide evidence-based care.
8. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to contribute to the patient's care plan and provide nutrition-related recommendations.
9. Collaborate with the food service department to ensure the availability of appropriate and appealing food options for pediatric patients.
10. Conduct community outreach programs and participate in educational events to promote pediatric nutrition and healthy eating habits.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics. Master's degree preferred.
2. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
3. State licensure as a dietitian or eligibility to obtain licensure.
4. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric nutrition. Inpatient experience is strongly preferred.
5. Knowledge of pediatric nutrition guidelines, growth and development, and medical nutrition therapy for common pediatric conditions.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment while prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
8. Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and nutrition analysis software.
9. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in pediatric nutrition.
