Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the Field Service Technician provides major maintenance and repairs on natural gas compression rental fleet equipment within the assigned region. In this role, you will partner with manufacturing and field service teams to satisfy customer needs by addressing mechanical and electrical issues during installations, maintenance cycles and repairs. In short, you will troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of natural gas compressor system failures and optimize compression equipment performance. You will work 12-hour shifts starting on a Monday or Tuesday; 14 days on and 14 days off. You will stay at a “Man Camp” for the 14 days on and return home for the 14 days off.

About You:

· High school diploma (or GED equivalent) required; Tech School training preferred

· 3-5 years of experience as a shop mechanic or field service technician

· General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

· Working knowledge of oil and gas industry, including gas compression sector

· Experience with the following:

o Ariel compressor or CIP

o Cummins Engine

o CAT engine

o Waukesha Engine

o Electrical understanding or knowledge

o Shaft alignment experience

o Analyzer tuning / emissions

o Murphy panels

o Automation

· Working knowledge of oil and gas industry, including gas compression sector

· General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills

· Certifications with the following would be a plus:

o Cummins Engine

o CAT engine

o Waukesha Engine

· Must have a driver's license
