Job title: Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating individuals with physical, mental, or developmental challenges, helping them achieve maximum independence and autonomy in their daily activities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' functional limitations and areas of need
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address these limitations and enhance clients' quality of life
• Provide therapy sessions, utilizing various techniques and interventions, to improve clients' motor skills, sensory integration, cognitive abilities, and emotional well-being
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and promote effective treatment approaches
• Educate and guide clients and their families on adaptive equipment, alternative techniques, and strategies to improve independent functioning
• Conduct regular evaluations to measure clients' progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
• Document treatment sessions, client progress, and other relevant information accurately and timely
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field and incorporate evidence-based practices into treatment procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all healthcare protocols and standards

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice
• Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting
• Solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop appropriate treatment plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
• Empathy, patience, and compassion in assisting individuals with various challenges
• Proficiency in using relevant therapy equipment and software programs
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing Occupational Therapy practice
