Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct and coordinate moderately complex tests for control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conduct multidisciplinary research in assisting equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software to develop software engineering activities.
• Analyze system capabilities and determines end user needs to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.
• Ensure hardware and software standards are met.
• Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.
• Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.

Required Qualifications:

• Must possess a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role. In the alternative, at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
• At least 3 years of experience with full life cycle software engineering processes.
• At least 3 years of experience in embedded software development and verification.
• At least 3 years of experience developing software using programming languages such as C, C , Ada or Python.

The salary range for this position is $119,454.00 to $161,000.00 per year. This is the correct compensation range. Please disregard any additional verbiage noted below pertaining to the salary range.
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
