Job Description

A Production Associate I is responsible for the safe and proper assembly of cutting-edge airline/aerospace safety equipment while maintaining a streamlined production process. We have a worldwide customer base and this is a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

  • *$17.86 per hour starting rate.
  • Eligible for Annual Increases.
  • Competitive Benefits Package, including first day Medical.

Schedule:

This position is for 2nd shift

Monday – Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Overtime available on a business need basis

Responsibilities/Job Functions:

  • Perform rework of nonconforming components.
  • Use basic hand, power, and pneumatic tools and precision measuring equipment.
  • May handle small amounts of explosive powder.
  • Troubleshoot and solve basic productions issues with Team Leader direction.
  • Work proactively in addressing potential issues and apply real time problem solving skills when working towards a solution.
  • Actively support compliance with EH&S policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare work orders and data sheets for processing.
  • Perform routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes included in aircraft component assembly.
  • Help with problem solving by working with engineering, management, and other cell departments.
  • Perform basic match calculations.
  • Move between workstations as needed.
  • Read and understand manufacturing procedures and blueprints.
  • Follows all safety protocols.
  • Ensure proper tool and/or material management.

Basic qualifications:

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card holder”.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations.
  • SAP and inventory management experience.
