Raymond West is looking for a Manager of the Parts Sales Representatives to join its winning team! The Manager of Parts Sales will be responsible for the growth and management of the Parts Sales Representative (PSR) team. The PSRs are responsible for a Book of Business (BOB) within a designated territory. The PSR manager will assist the Director of Product Support in handling reports, creating structure within the department, and creating a plan to achieve the overall vision of growth and customer retention. In addition, the PSR Manager will oversee PSRs and assist them with increasing sales within existing accounts, acquiring new accounts, reducing obsoletes, properly stocking customer consignments and handling customer concerns.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.

  • Manager a staff in an assigned area to include planning and assigning projects/tasks to staff, making hiring, separation, and disciplinary recommendations, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Ensure staff development and coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staff.
  • Provide leadership for assigned staff.
  • Manage employee's timecard utilizing the company's Time and Attendance system.
  • Manage the operational activities within the Parts Sales Representative Team
  • Develop, organize, implement, and oversee programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure achievement of Parts Sales Representative goals
  • Render decisions with respect to key department issues impacting overall service and performance.
  • Provide input to senior leadership for annual budgets.
  • Direct and prepare reports for Parts Sales Representative Senior leadership.
  • Participate in Company or Department projects.
  • Ensure employees and team are following all Company Policies
  • Works closely with other departments and communicate with all levels of employees, customers, and Manufacturers both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates drive and initiative.
  • Maintains a professional attitude in all matters.
  • Correspond with Vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to manage time efficiently.
  • Assist PSR team on following up on existing customer requirements, communicating these requirements to the Parts Manager, Branch Manager and/or other appropriate personnel.
  • Responsible for holding PSR's accountable for managing customer consignment inventories within his/her assigned territory and ensure customer satisfaction is measured by fill rate from stock, backorder response, and parts sales growth and subject to achieve acceptable inventory movement.
  • Responsible for driving necessary consignment adjustments and van inventories to best support the needs of the customer.
  • Create and abide by a tracking system to add structure to the department.

    • Inventory tracking
    • Customer call tracking
    • Generated revenue tracking
  • Responsible for finding opportunities for efficiency within the PSR position.
  • Create a road map to solve systems that lack efficiency.
  • Manage PSR's inventory counts and billing for stock used, quote activity, parts turn management at each designated consignment site.
  • Must work with the marketing department to create parts marketing programs that will result in increased parts sales of specific, parts commodities to all assigned account.
  • Must work closely with personnel in the Parts Department to ensure PSRs have substantial support to do their job efficiently.
  • Must educate PSRs on genuine Raymond parts for use on Raymond trucks to increase sales.
  • Must participate in "ride along" with PSRs once a month to visit customers. Must have and track monthly meetings with PSR's and provide "Coaching.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Product Support and Operation leaders to formulate competitive offerings to grow PSR book of business.
  • Collaborate with Director of Product Support in creating list of target customers (consignment customers are mandatory, list should include customers where PSR interaction will have the most impact on sales growth).
  • Responsible for growing the PSR department by 10% in the first 18 months of employment.
  • Must Implement technology for more efficient inventory tracking and learn product
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of the product line, features, and growth:
  • Must guide PSR employees to grow their book of business by a minimum 10% year over year.
  • Manager is responsible for approving discounts on Parts and must use discretion. Manager is encouraged to use as a last option. There will be times when it is necessary to discount to be competitive or to gain business.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to perform duties under minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments.
  • Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
  • Must demonstrate a current understanding of Raymond, DURASOURCE and Lift Partners product offerings.
  • Must be competent in Parts Department software with an emphasis on reporting, auditing, and billing.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and operate a vehicle in a responsible manner in compliance with all traffic laws and Raymond West policies.
  • Must have at least 7 years of parts management experience in a related industry
  • Must have the ability to dissect tracking reports and drive customer retention and growth.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge in inventory tracking systems and implementing new technology into the department.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills with an aptitude for analyzing and solving problems.
  • Must be willing to travel.

Education/Experience:

Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position.

  • Preferred: bachelor's degree or 2 years of Management experience,
  • Preferred: 1-year minimum related Parts experience

Travel Requirement:

  • 35% (15 hours a week)
  • Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.

Pay Range:

  • The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $74,000. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
