Purpose:

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing an array of projects that advance Patient Service Center’s tactical and strategic technology objectives. This role collaborates with all Patient Service Center’s departments and engages with all stakeholders to drive initiatives forward. The Technical Project Manager must have skills and experience managing IT related projects with external vendors in the healthcare space.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary Manage project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines that support business objectives in collaboration with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, client and vendors
  • Actively monitor, track, and manage project tasks, timelines, scope, milestones and overall quality of project activities and deliverables
  • Track, support and communicate system updates, releases, and schedules with internal and external stakeholders
  • Evaluate the progress of projects to detect limitations or faults and seeking solutions to result in more efficient processes
  • Support implementation activities across the team to ensure successful launch of projects
  • Partner with operational leadership to address business needs
  • Identify problems, explore potential solutions, and track the design and implementation of such solutions
  • Ensure proper risk management by documenting all risks and employing an effective mitigation strategy. Risks may be financial, chronological, process, team, or scope related
  • Prepare for and facilitate team and large group meetings, including clear communication of meeting purpose and attendee roles
  • Develop, initiate, and manage communication plans that facilitate communication between departments and include team responsibilities, target dates, project status reports and resource needs
  • Demonstrate leadership by taking responsibility for creating and achieving shared goals
  • All other duties as may be required for the position based on staffing, coverage, implementation and technology needs

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in project management, especially within healthcare and IT related projects
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and complete work in a timely manner
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous 2 years of experience in specialty pharmacy and/or HUB services

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and teleworking from the employee’s home address listed in their employment file. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. When telecommuting employees must have reliable internet access in order to access required systems and software associated with the position's responsibilities. The amount of time the employee is expected to work per day or pay period will not change as a result of participation in the teleworking program. Employees are responsible for the set-up of their home office environment, including physical set-up, internet connection, phone line, electricity, good lighting, comfortable temperature, furniture, etc. Employee’s teleworking space should be separate and distinct from their “home space” and allow for privacy. Patient Service Center expects employees teleworking to be as efficient and professional as if they were in the office. The amount of time spent in office or teleworking is contingent upon the needs/priorities of Patient Service Center and will vary based on those needs/priorities.
