RCS seeks a dedicated Data Acquisition and Analysis Support Specialist to provide specialized support in acquiring and analyzing data from various commercial sources. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in conducting creative and technical analyses, migrating diverse data sets onto internal networks, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, the candidate will engage in projects involving data acquisition, migration, commercial encryption, and anomaly detection across internal and external repositories.

Responsibilities:

• Collect information to acquire commercial data relevant to the Sponsor's objectives.
• Conduct technical analysis on acquired data and implement risk mitigation and data management best practices.
• Utilize commercial systems to identify anomalies or actionable information aligned with the Sponsor's goals.
• Analyze activity patterns within external data sets to detect potential issues and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with technical experts to determine and implement corrective measures for identified issues.

Required Skills:

1. Demonstrated experience in creatively analyzing commercial communications market data.
2. Proficiency in navigating complex digital networks while ensuring appropriate security measures.
3. Ability to connect information across multiple datasets using database queries or API calls.
4. Experience in digital forensics and analysis.
5. Familiarity with commercial encryption, data management, and risk management practices.

Desired Skills:

1. Experience collaborating with partners within the Sponsor's network.
2. Proficiency in navigating complex digital networks with security measures in place.
3. Ability to conduct research into commercial data sets.
4. Familiarity with multiple platforms, including social media and the dark web.
5. Experience researching technical data sources to provide concise conclusions to decision-makers.
6. Ability to work in a technical capacity within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to technical solutions.
7. Proficiency in development and coding using Python.
8. Degree or educational background in computer science, data analysis, data science, information science, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field.
