Skills and Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE management systems to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators as well as leading and lagging indicators to track HSE performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on HSE matters, including risk assessments and hazard mitigation.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and assessments to identify hazards and ensure safety protocols.
• Collaborate internally and externally to promote safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Stay updated on emerging HSE trends, technologies, and regulations to enhance organizational performance.
• Prepare and deliver HSE training programs to employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Engage with regulatory authorities and industry groups to stay informed of requirements and best practices.
• Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings and proposals related to HSE services.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE management within the consulting, mining (MSHA), or related industrial sectors (OSHA), demonstrating a deep understanding of operational and strategic HSE requirements. In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Proficient in the latest HSE regulations, with a proven ability to influence and enforce standards across multinational teams.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of managing complex projects and fostering an environment of compliance and safety excellence.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HSE management software applications.
