Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. Thisis a temporary assignment with the possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience

- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar

- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner

- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees

- Maintain patient records and update information as needed

- Assist with medical administrative support tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents

- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow

- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality

Experience:

- 3-4 years working in a front desk capacity

- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred

- Familiarity with dental or medical office procedures and terminology is a plus

- Proficiency in using phone systems and other office equipment

- Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
