Location : Hanover Park, Illinois

Job Type : Permanent

Salary : $50,000 - 70,000 per year

Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to blueprints, manuals, or sketches.
• Utilize test and diagnostic equipment for checkouts.
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as necessary.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document maintenance activities.
• Calibrate equipment using various test equipment.
• Communicate with equipment suppliers regarding repairs.
• Maintain data for process improvement initiatives.
• Assist in developing work procedures.
• Source and purchase equipment parts as needed.
• Maintain backup information for critical production equipment software systems.
• Make recommendations for new or replacement equipment.
• Train employees in machinery operation.
• Work overtime or be on-call as required.
• Follow company security policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications :

• Strong background in electrical troubleshooting
• Some experience in plastics injection molding would be ideal but not needed
• Hydraulics troubleshooting
• Experience in manufacturing

Schedule :

• Night shift positions
• 12 hour rotating shifts
• 6 : 45pm-7am
• Monday, Tuesday, Friday-Sunday then reverse - every other weekend is 3 day weekend
