JOB SUMMARY
We are a family practice with an established patient base. In addition to preventive care appointments and scheduled procedures, we accept emergency calls. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.
QUALIFICATIONS
 1 years' experience as a Dental Assistant
 Knowledge of dentistry, particularly dental procedures, instruments and hygiene
 Experience administering dental X-rays
 Technical skills and proficiency with dental, scheduling, office and other software
 Customer service and communication skills to ensure patients feel comfortable during appointments
 Organizational and multi-tasking skills, general office aptitude
 Excellent verbal communication skills
 Availability to work evenings until 6pm one day a week
 Experience working with children preferred
 Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
 Current CPR certification required
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
 Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for dentists
 Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needs
 Take and process X-rays of patients
 Process lab work for the dentist
 Greet patients as they arrive to appointments
 Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene
 Update and maintain dental records
 Handle general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental clinic

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
