Description

Rakhma, an ancient Aramaic word meaning "compassionate love" is the defining feature of all that we do. Our three locations, Grace (Minnetonka), Peace (Minneapolis), and Joy (St. Paul) provide dignity for individuals living with memory loss in a small home-like environment. We provide person-centered care and strive to deliver outstanding customer service to our residents, families, and vendors.

This is a unique position and ideal for someone who wants to receive a higher hourly wage, enjoys variety and can have a flexible schedule.

• For the full-time position (you will be scheduled 40 hours most weeks, with a guarantee of 32 hours every week) 
• For the part-time position (you will not have any minimum hours scheduled - it will be based on the weekly needs of the house)
• There is not a set schedule. Every Thursday this employee will receive their schedule for the following week where they will be assigned to work any shift at any house.

Compensation

The float position starts at $24 per hour. The higher compensation is to account for:

• Float staff are required to be flexible in both the time and location they will work.
• Float staff are expected to be exemplary employees who utilize best practices in resident care. These employees understand and appreciate the processes of each Rakhma location.

Responsibilities
Float staff employed by Rakhma Homes are responsible for all duties in the Care Partner Job Description. This addendum includes the scheduling and availability requirements of the Float Staff.

Weekends

Float staff are required, but not limited, to work a minimum of four weekend shifts every month. When possible, this will be two shifts every other weekend. 

Medical/dental benefits available to FT employees. All Full Time employees and some Part Time employees accrue paid time off.

Loan forgiveness available to achieve CNA certification. Upon certification wage will increase by $1.50 per hour.

Employee Job Description:

1. Document resident needs and status in electronic medical record, to include accidents and injuries.
2. Pass medication and complete online charting (training provided).
3. Assist with resident personal cares and ADLs with attention to individualized service plans.
4. Provide exceptional customer service.
5. Maintain safe environment by complying with all safety and regulatory guidelines, policies and procedures including Minnesota’s Vulnerable Adult Laws, Resident Bill of Rights, HIPAA. Use personal protective equipment.
6. Assist with outings and activities, resident guest visits, and volunteer-led activities.
7. Prepare meals and perform housekeeping services.

Requirements

EDUCATION LEVEL: High School diploma or Equivalent. Must be 18 years or older.

EXPERIENCE:

1. No prior experience or training is required. Care Partner must successfully complete training provided by Rakhma. Dementia experience preferred.
2. HHA or CNA certification is beneficial. Training in dementia care is provided.
3. CPs must successfully complete ongoing trainings, provided by Rakhma.
4. Staff must successfully complete a background check with the Department of Human Services to be eligible for employment.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must have reliable transportation and dependable communication methods to ensure punctuality and regular attendance.

Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands, climb stairs, balance, stoop, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
