The hospital, a not-for-profit health system dedicated to caring for people in Maryland and the Washington, D.C., region, is recognized regionally and nationally for excellence in medical care. As a 900-bed facility, the GM will oversee the entire Food & Nutrition operations, including patient meal services, retail, doctor's lounge, and catering.

Position Summary:
The Senior Area General Manager directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit, maintaining customer satisfaction and good public relations. They manage through managers and are accountable for the contract. As the senior-most person assigned to an account, they may have multiple clients and/or satellite locations.
Key Duties:
- Directs all contract services.
- Oversees management/administrative team responsible for special functions, cash control, and payroll.
- Drives customer and client satisfaction, as well as growth.
- Manages financial management operations.
Basic Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of Functional & Management experience.
- Experience in food service management.
- General Manager Food & Nutrition leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience managing in a union environment.
- Experience in client relationship management and strong financial acumen.
- Experience managing teams responsible for special functions, cash control, and payroll.
- Experience in financial management.
- Experience delivering high-quality food service.
